16 May The Top Ten Unluckiest Pet Cat Names Finally Revealed!
Have you ever wondered if your pet cats name might be unlucky? Well, according to brand-new research — Bruno is officially the unluckiest name in the UK!
Pets name Bruno, have been proven to be up to 6 times more likely to be at the centre of pet insurance claim then feline friends called “Luna” — which has been revealed as the nation’s luckiest monika.
Some of the claims that have been made for pets named Bruno, have included everything from caused by eating things they probably shouldn’t have, right through to serious illnesses such as cancer and epilepsy.
Also on the list of unlucky names web texts called Henry, Tia, Buster and Cassie — who were also five times more likely to claim on insurance as opposed to names like Paddy, Cocoa, Freddie, Sky and Ollie.
The PDSA’s Director of Veterinary Services, Richard Hooker recently said;
“It’s a mystery why pets named Bruno seem to have an unfair share of misfortune. The difference between their insurance claim rates and pets called Luna is baffling. Clearly, any pet can be involved in an accident or become ill so, whatever your pet is called, taking out pet insurance is the best way to protect them and avoid unwanted vet’s bills.”
It may come as a surprise, but the average insurance claim in 2016 is now over £400, although this quickly rises to well over £600 for third-party claims of damage. It’s better saying that animals can find themselves in some sticky situations, and illnesses can strike without warning.
