I bought this for our Maine Coon kittens who I knew would quickly outgrow their existing cat tree. It was a tough decision which cat tree to opt for; in the end I went with this because it had plenty resting places, a hidey hole, and a play rope. It also wasn’t so big that it would take over the room. It arived within a week, well packaged, with no plastic other than the bag with the screws etc., which was refreshing. It was easy to put together (with 2 people), but really sturdy. We thought it would be a while before the kittens ventured to the top, but no, they soon explored every inch. Both the hammock and the sleeping trays have been snoozed in. Even after just one day our 4 month old doesn’t bother jumping up via the platforms, she scrambles up the outside on the scratch poles. Our elderly lady likes the hidey hole, as does our 12 year old, who also likes the lowest platform. It seems like a lot of money to splash out (although I was lucky enough to get it on Black Friday), but to have 4 happy indoor cats, it was worth it. So far, neither us or the cats can fault it.
