For years, RHR Pets built a reputation for producing substantial cat trees designed for cats that simply need more room. The range became particularly popular with owners of Maine Coons and other large breeds, where an ordinary lightweight scratching post or small cat tree often isn’t enough.
In June 2026, the Dutch company behind the original RHR Pets business, RHR Concepts B.V., was declared bankrupt. For customers who had come to know the brand and its distinctive oversized cat trees, it left a noticeable gap.
We want to help bring the RHR Pets name and the type of cat trees people loved back to UK cat owners.
We are now the trademark owners of RHR Pets, and our brand new range has been developed for owners who want something more substantial than the typical lightweight cat tree.
If you share your home with a Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Norwegian Forest Cat, British Shorthair or simply a particularly big cat, you’ll know that ordinary cat furniture isn’t always up to the job.
Showing the single result
A large cat needs room to actually use its cat tree properly. Beds need to be big enough to sleep in, platforms need enough space to turn around comfortably, and scratching posts need to feel substantial when a heavy cat stretches against them.
That’s exactly what we look for with RHR Pets.
Proper Cat Trees for Bigger Cats
Our RHR Pets collection focuses on size, stability, comfort and durability. You’ll find generously sized sleeping areas, substantial scratching posts and larger platforms designed to give cats plenty of room to climb, scratch, stretch and settle down.
We don’t believe a cat tree should merely look impressive in a photograph. It has to work in a real home with real cats jumping on it every day.
This becomes particularly important with breeds such as the Maine Coon, where an adult cat can make a conventional cat tree look surprisingly small. Larger breeds benefit from furniture that gives them more usable space and somewhere comfortable to relax without squeezing themselves into an undersized bed.
Built for Climbing, Scratching and Sleeping
Cats don’t all use their furniture in the same way. Some immediately head for the highest point in the room. Others want a comfortable bed where they can sleep for most of the afternoon. Some are mainly interested in finding a good scratching post.
That’s why our RHR Pets range includes a variety of designs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether you’re looking for a large Maine Coon cat tree, a sturdy scratching tree for one big cat or a larger model for a multi-cat household, you can compare the different RHR Pets designs in this collection and choose the size and layout that works for your cats and your home.
Why Choose RHR Pets?
We’re proud of the RHR Pets name and what it represents. Our aim is straightforward: to offer high-quality cat trees for large breeds that provide the space, strength and comfort bigger cats need.
After all, there’s not much point buying a beautiful new cat tree if your cat is hanging over every side of the bed.
