As many feline owners will be able to testify, cats simply love to plonk themselves down on top of a keyboard! Whether it is walking, sitting. Or, having a cat nap? Cats simply love keyboards!
The reason for this is still being debated, but many argue it is because cats love warm places to perch their posteriors. Computers and keyboard offer just that! Your keyboard and computer will radiate a heat that makes these places incredibly inviting for your feline friend.
Many also argue, that this love of warm places dates back to the animals ancestors which are said to have been trawling the deserts.
Not only this, but cats love anything that makes a noise! Whether it is a crumbled up piece of paper or a keyboard, you computer represents a hive of activity that will attract your kitty to your work area like a magnet. Blinking LED’s and a cursor that whizzes around the computer screen, it’s hard not to understand why cats find keyboards so inviting.
When cats walk across the keys, pressing them down as they go, your kitty will want to write their own novel as they experience typing for the first time.
Most of all though, cats just love to be around you and if you spend allot of time sat in-front of the computer then it is likely that they simply want to be around you and get some attention from their owners.
