The barrel itself is extremely robust and strong especially as we have two large Maine coons. The reason why I have not given it five stars is because there was a slight delay on the delivery although not necessarily your fault.

My siberian cats luv the coony scratch barrel . However it had fell over a couple of times when they have chased each other up the side on to the top this gave us all a fright as one of my cats was underneath it . My cats are smaller than mainecoons. Are we meant to put something in the bottom to wait it down .At this price i would expect the barrel to be safe . .
